The Mayonnaise Jar and The beer!

There is an interesting short story that deserves to read as our life is getting more and more hectic..Hope you enjoy it

-------

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar...and the beer.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.
The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends, your favorite passions-- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car.
The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal. "Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised their hand and inquired what the beer represented.
The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers.

1st Wall Climbing and 1st Realization

Today, I had a chance to do a wall climbing for the first time in my life. It was so fun as I gave a successful try in a beginning. After a while, I started moving to the next wall which is of course a bit harder than the last two walls that I immediately conquered as I grasped a first stone on the wall.

I tried to climb the third wall which is quite difficult but the wall was harder than a power that i gave, failed. I didn't give up and kept trying but the result remains the same, the wall is still much stronger to be tackled than i am. I took a break for a few minutes....

I tied up again some equipments that entwined into the whole waist areas. Now I moved to the other wall, which is harder than the last 3 walls. For me it seemed to be easy but in fact I failed again. I took a time to think and make some kind of connections between nervous systems in my brain so as to find a way of conquering the wall.

In the middle of my thinking, I was struck by a word of PERSISTENCE. I dunno why suddenly became conscious and aware of being persistent is a necessary requirement in achieving one's wish and ambition. My failure taught me a lot and made me realized that no matter what we want to achieve, being persistent is something obligatory. We cannot get something or be an expert unless we invest some amount of time for it.Statistically speaking, persistence is positively related to the level of patience and having a linear relationship with being an expert. It means that the more persistent a person is the higher level of patience that he or she has. Similarly, the more persistent a person in doing a job, action or whatever you may want to call it, the more expert he or she is in that particular behavior.

Everything takes a time with no doubt to transform into something else,e.g.from being a high school student, it will take at least 4 years of itinerary education so one can be granted a bachelor degree. Being a good Muslim needs a time to be so. Grasping a knowledge requires a time to understand.

Being a patience, which differs from one person to another, has to be faced and run by all humans because it is already embedded into an inborn natural predisposition of human. However, another human predisposition is to get what he wants in a short time. Humans always want something instantly. They wish that once a desire on something has come into the mind, they feel like the thing has to be with them immediately. Man should learn to cope with his nafs so he will be prevented from its negative effects. Eventually, everything that we want has its own time before they turn into our belongingness regardless of situation and condition. Wallahuamlam Bil Muraddif

By the night that envelops

“ By the night that envelops “

A sun is slowly gone from eyes of people who live in sudbury, a small town which is located 4 hours from Toronto. Around 300 lakes in sudbury are witnessing the sun which starts to fade away slowly but surely. Its light has melted some ice that is still spreading on the lakes that turn to become a blue “carpet” and give a beautiful view.

I am still sitting on my chair right before my computer and waiting for seeing a sunset to come. I have no main idea that i can write at the moment because i am just following what my thought thinks and my fingers press on a keyboard. On my table, there is only a glass, a mouse, a toilet paper, a tape, and a bunch of pens that were given as gift from my professor. A watch is still ticking and i can hear every movement that it makes. On my walls, some papers were attached and have no use now because they were just reminders of mine during my exam period. But the exam now has passed so they just stick onto the wall till i take them off . I am just lazy to take them off since these holidays just attract me so much to a bed.

I am trying to look around my apartment. They all look like the same since the first time i moved into it around 3.5 months ago. They are in the same position and situation. Similarly, I always have the same regular activity since i came to sudbury. But, one time I was contemplating that a regular situation and condition will lead one to take for granted.

Yes.."taking for granted" that is the word. Now i remember my prof. said once "the greatest enemy of human is to take for granted". Our mind is always bombarded by various kind of information. We are overloaded because all media always give us new information in every second.

This thing comes and attacks me now. A beautiful view from my apartment was taken for granted. I should think how can this beautiful lake and view appear ? Does it appear out of sudden ? A day is always marked by a dawning from the east and closed by a sunset from the west. This thing always happens since a million years ago, but human mostly failed to grab some lessons that need to be uncovered from a canny of the day and night.

Humans sometime are too much proud of themselves. Developing a scientific tool is considered to be the most advanced development that ever recorded in human history. A vexing arrogant development of human intelligence has directed them into different ways of looking at life and perceiving the existence of higher power. Humans think that they are capable enough to make this world as their subject. With their great ability of mind they gradually forget about their nature which comes from nothing, just a drop of sperm, and has no power to challenge the world. Once they were born into the world, they start to learn how to communicate and survive. They were endowed with some tools that enable them to tackle various kinds of difficulties that might be encountered throughout their lives.

The beginning of human has no power. How can the sperm turns into a perfect human being who has arms, mouth, heart that aid him to live in the world ? Does a human creation happen by accident or is it occurred because of something else that has Higher power which cannot be attained by any other human beings ? Why are humans able to breath ? Why does the heart work automatically with no necessarily require our consciousness ?. Humans are so weak. But then why in the end they leave behind their nature which has no power at all and start to become arrogant and claim that they are the ones who are "creators" of the earth and able to make a life ?

Again, the vexing virus of "taking for granted" has contaminated our mind to think about the existence of God. Human beings were endowed 2 potentialities by God: either following a right path or wrong one. Here, Given 2 opposite potentialities of human, it doesn't mean that God wants them to take a wrong path. An ultimate purpose is to test them how much they really obey Him who provides them with all good such tools and equipments as brain, eyes, ears, nose, skin. Unfortunately, there are many humans take the dark path that will lead them to an unbearable regret forever both in the world and hereafter.

Thus, taking for granted virus is not only making us forget about our nature but it also takes us away from obeying the Higher power that has granted us the invaluable chance of living. We human soon or later will depart from this world. We come into the world with all weaknesses and witnessed that we will obey our Lord, though in the process of life we primarily leave Him behind. Eventually, as death is just around the corner humans will be back to his inborn natural predisposition in which believing in his Lord and concede that they are powerless again.

The night starts enveloping and covering the day now ....Time to see the Lord at maghrib time

Is A Human Lower than An Ant ?

Why does human want to possess and be possessed ?

Humans always want to keep some material things within their lives, which is nature, but for some people a gut of possession is too much pervasive within themselves untill they feel uneasy to give a dollar or even a cent from their pocket.

Why are they so difficult to give a small portion of their invaluable things to the extent of giving a hard time for people who actually have helped them out so much? Are they afraid of being a poor human in a future ? Are they afraid of neglacting their future generations due to not having enough some deposit ? Do they think that giving is actually a covert behavior which will result in a decrease of their material things,e.g. money ? Why are human too much in possessive with their money, which will go away soon or later for some reason ?

I just can't understand how freakin' stingy people's mind works. If humans are not too much proud of themselves, they should take a lesson from a group of ants. If an ant has found a source of food which might be insufficient to feed up all his friends, he would tell his other friends that will tell the same thing to others till all of them have the knowledge of such food availablity. The ant, which always never gets an attention from humans, has actually offered them a very invaluable knowledge of interaction through giving as much as possible instead of receiving and keeping. The ant is very small, but it provides the "very" big creature- human in compared to the ant- with a huge knowledge that can lead to a wisdom. If humans who are a million of times bigger than the ant is always too much haunted by the fear of lost of material things, are they not even worst than the ant ?

People come and go, yet their past behaviors will always remain on other people's long term memory. The behavior takes a form through a proccess of habit, which will later bind into a personal character. Stingy takes the same process before it transform into the personal characteristic of a person. The more stingy humans with the increasing of their age, the more difficult for them to get rid of.

The less humans we are eventually by dragging our dignity and morality into the most bottom level of creature on the earth or might be lower than the ant which doesn't have mind to think of.
